Training medical students to think like designers.

Program partnership between 10XBeta and Thomas Jefferson University.
Scope: Curriculum development, design workshops facilitation, teaching, co-creating, identifying innovation and business opportunities in the field of healthcare.

Berk İlhan co-created a Design Thinking curriculum tailored for medical students and co-directed the JeffSolves program for three years. He led design workshops, delivered lectures, invited thought leaders, and produced video storytelling materials that captured the program’s first two years. JeffSolves, an initiative of Thomas Jefferson University, unites faculty and medical students to co-create solutions for urgent healthcare challenges. Partnering with 10XBeta, the program gave students access to product development expertise and guidance through the co-invention process, resulting in novel medical device concepts.

JeffSolves is an initiative by Thomas Jefferson University that aims to bring together faculty members and medical students from across the Jefferson community to generate innovative solutions for urgent healthcare problems. To further the initiative, Thomas Jefferson University partnered with 10XBeta to provide students access to an innovation-driven product management company, to guide them through the co-invention process, and assist with the development of novel medical devices.
